Peaceful, walkable, family-oriented community with great schools.

Welcome to Bay Harbor Islands

Located between Bal Harbour and the mainland, Bay Harbor Islands offer quiet, primarily residential communities. The West Island has almost exclusively residential properties, including two-story Mediterranean-style homes and mid-century bungalows. Covering 103 acres, the West Island is open only to single-family unit development.

There is a small business district on the East Island, a few two-story and four-story apartment buildings, condominiums, and resort accommodations. Covering 150 acres, the East Island is for multi-family dwellings and businesses.

What to Love

  • A peaceful, walkable residential community
  • Many fine-dining choices right on the islands
  • A variety of things to do and entertainment
  • Ultra lux shops and stores are close by

Local Lifestyle

The Bay Harbor Islands are separated from the Miami mainland by Biscayne Bay. The Broad Causeway is the roadway connecting the islands and Bal Harbour to the mainland. There are shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore.

The condominium towers offer the ultimate luxury lifestyle and resort-style residential accommodations. These residential communities also provide a number of amenities and facilities and first-class dining options located within the buildings. The homes on the West Island are private family homes with yards and lush gardens — some even feature private docks.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

If you love art, you must visit the Romano Gallery and take a peek into Materia Collection furniture store and HomExpo Miami Design Center. All three will give you ample inspiration to design and decorate your Bay Harbor Island home! Less than a mile away, the Bal Harbour Shops feature branded labels from Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, and Bulgari, to name a few.

Coffee Break Enjoy is a family-run bakery and coffee shop with a number of menu options for any time of day. Pura Vida Bay Harbor offers delightful healthy menu items. The Meat Bar offers gourmet meat-based dishes, and at The Palm, a steakhouse dinner is served in a private club atmosphere. Other options include The Bistro for modern European cuisine, Emilio's Trattoria for an elegant upscale Tuscan meal, or O'Lima Signature Cuisine serves contemporary Peruvian-Japanese cuisine.

Things to Do

Parks and recreational areas are plentiful on the islands. The Officer Scott Winters Park is a popular place to enjoy the weather and the 95th Street Park offers live music concerts and outdoor movies. The Bay Harbor Islands Tot Lot features a variety of playgrounds and exercise equipment for children of all ages.

On the mainland, North Beach Oceanside Park has a dog run, trails, playgrounds, and beach access. And if a wilderness adventure is what you seek, the Oleta River State Park nearby has full campground facilities and cabins available. Do not forget to visit Bal Harbour  for white sugar sands and warm tropical water.
